No feeling is final

Every feeling arrives claiming it is permanent. Grief says it will always be like this. Shame says you will never be clean of it. The 3am dread says this is just who you are now.

They are not lying on purpose. A feeling simply cannot see past its own edges.

You can. You have had ten thousand feelings in your life that swore they were forever, and you cannot remember most of them. This one is also a visitor. You do not have to believe that tonight. You only have to keep going until it leaves, which it will, usually without saying goodbye.
